Paper on reel on LEIPA PM 5

Following the successful first run of the LEIPA PM 5 and the first “paper on reel” on 31 March, LEIPA is set to complete the commissioning phase and begin supplying customers with uncoated corrugated base paper from the PM 5.

The conditions are more than favourable for a successful market entry of our LEIPA PM 5.” 

With the LEIPA PM 3 and PM 5, LEIPA will in future have a total annual capacity of 700,000 tons of coated and uncoated white top testliner, making it an international market leader and a one-stop shop for customers.

Christian Schürmann, COO of LEIPA Georg Leinfelder GmbH: “The entire project team has done a great job rebuilding the PM 5. We will produce a state-of-the-art testliner on this machine - the world’s most powerful of its kind - and start with the first deliveries in April.

On the sales front, LEIPA strengthened its global sales network with a stake in Gratenau & Hesselbacher in 2016 and its cooperation with Jacob Jürgensen in 2018, aiming to provide new customers in selected non-European markets with professional and tailored services
